shareaza is a download client, but unlike others, it has lots of features, it's secure, free, spyware/adware free, open source, and has NO ads.
it uses filters, so you can use xml filters to filter out virusses or bad hosts.
it connects to edonkley network, you can torrent, it has G1 and G2 network, (gnutella, limewire, forstwire, etc)
you can also use it as http download manager.

a lot of websites offer this and let you pay, while it is actually meant TO BE FREE by the original authors, the ones you have to pay for are exactly the same, and are ectaually stolen
